Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) arrested a suspected vote-buyer at Ward 4, Polling Unit 007, outside St. Stephen’s Primary School, Akure. The suspect was caught with two bags of money allegedly intended to induce voters during the election.

PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate Alleges Thug Influx

Mr. Festus Akingbaso, the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and a member of the House of Representatives, raised alarms about an influx of thugs in Idanre Local Government Area. Speaking to journalists after casting his vote at Polling Unit 005, Oke Imikan, Akingbaso expressed concerns about potential disruptions.
