Ibinabo, Clarion Chukwura cease fire on AMAA stage

Another interesting happening that will linger   in the minds of those that graced this year’s AMAA was the deliberate attempt by the organisers to bring the two warring actresses, Ibinabo Fiberesima and Clarion Chukwura together for the first time.
Before the awards ceremony, Fiberesima who is the incumbent President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,AGN,  and veteran actress, Clarion Chukwura were seeming enemies. The two were at loggerheads for months,  following the latter’s intention to run down the former’s leadership of the actors’ body.
But at this year’s AMAA, the warring actresses showed their readiness to end the feud. Surprisingly, while Clarion Chukwura climbed the stage to receive her award as the Best Actress in Africa, Ibinabo was quick to identify with her victory.
She was seen nodding her head in agreement, while Chukwura was presenting her acceptance speech to the surprise of many who have been following their face-off as reported in the media.
At other time, Ibinabo was also sighted raising her hands and showing solidarity to the actress who has frequently accused her of using the platform of the guild to advance her personal interest. Chukwura could not be contacted for her reaction, but it was certain that Ibinabo has shown her readiness to make peace with the star of “Apaye.
