Nollywood Actress Is A Year Older Today
Ghanaian born Nollywood actress, Yvonne Nelson, is 28 years old today.
The talented actress who was born on the 12th of November, 1985, is one of Nollywood hottest items and fans favourite.
Yvonne Nelson, an actress, singer, model, film producer and entrepreneur is a former Miss Ghana contestant and shot to fame after a big-screen role in the movies ‘Princess Tyra’ and ‘Playboy’.
She quickly became a household name on the African continent and moved into the Nigerian movie scene to rub shoulders with the likes of Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Mercy Johnson, and Ini Edo and has been able to acquit herself creditably.
Yvonne who was in a serious love tango with hip-hop star, Iyanya, before their celebrated break-up, is a multiple awards winner and has acted in such movies like ‘Prince’s Bride’, ‘Girls Connection’ and ‘Golden Adventure’.
She produced her first movie, ‘The Price’ in 2011, and followed it up with ‘Single and Married’, a movie that won two awards, Best Picture at the Ghana Music Award and Best Ghanaian Movie in Nigeria at the City People Awards in 2013.
She followed up with another interesting production, ‘House of Gold’, which was premiered earlier in the year.
As part of the celebrations lined up for Yvonne, London based African hangout, Cokobar, plans to host her on Friday, the 15th of November, 2013.
