Dating Chris Brown Made Me ‘Afraid’ To Love Again

Don’t expect to see Rihanna in a serious relationship anytime soon. The Barbadian beauty says an old relationship — obviously referring to her romance with Chris Brown — left her unwilling to open herself up to love.

”When I was in love, I fell so hard … and in the blink of an eye, my whole life changed,” she tells Harper’s Bazaar. “I never thought I’d feel that pain in my life. I’m afraid of feeling that again.”

Poor Rihanna! She may look gorgeous and strong on the outside, but she’s still dealing with serious emotional trauma.

“It’s pretty much nonexistent. If I come across someone who I find really cool, I’ll hang out. But the minute I find that we’re getting too close I just — I don’t let people in.”
