Speaking to journalist, Mr. Collins Onogu, the Chairman of the Forum said Boko Haram will continue to lie about their real sponsors to Nigerians, Punch reports.
Onogu said: “Boko Haram cannot reveal their real sponsors to Nigerians, they will continue to lie. APC leaders are happy because the Australian negotiator, Stephen Davis, did not mention the names of their members as Boko Haram sponsors, we at the grassroots will soon mention their names, the truth will soon be revealed.”
According to the Forum’s chairman, the APC are poised to make Nigeria ungovernable for President Goodluck Jonathan and have been using the media to blackmail but their plans will not work.
He said the APC spokesperson, Lai Mohammed has left his duty and is now speaking on behalf of Boko Haram, while the APC is calling for the probe Alli Modu Sheriff and Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika who may not even know anything about Boko Haram.
He stated that Boko Haram activities in the North East became so high because most of the rural dwellers in the area are PDP members.
He expressed optimism that Boko Haram activities will soon be a thing of the past as God is fighting for Jonathan, adding that PDP Councillors Forum is fully behind the President in his fight against insurgency and for peace to return to the country.
On August 31, the Australian Negotiator, Stephen Davis made some shocking revelation, claiming that former governor of Borno State, Modu Sheriff and former Chief of Army Staff, General Onyeabo Azubuike Ihejirika are Boko Haram sponsors.
The APC also alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan might know more about Boko Haram than he is saying.
