30 Feared Killed as Suspected Pipeline Vandals Invade ikorodu,Lagos

According to reports ,suspected pipeline vandals invaded Igbo Olomu Community in Ikorodu area of Lagos this morning shooting sporadically in the air. Following the massive shooting 30 have been feared dead,according to Sahara reporters .

Little baby abandoned in a carton close to St. Michael's Catholic Church Ketu, Lagos (Photo)


According to a Facebook user, Anyadike Kenechukwu who is also an eye witness, a baby(pictured above) who is believed to be little above one year was dropped in a carton about two houses away from St. Michael's Catholic Church around Rev. Sisters' house at Ketu, Lagos.

He also said that a kind-hearted man wanted to take the baby inside the convent but was stopped by the security guard who demanded for police report stating that it is a normal occurrence around that area.

Alleged thief apprehended at Festac Town, Lagos (photos)

The alleged thief was caught last night in a shop in Festac, Lagos. According to eye witnesses, the young man entered the shop pretending to buy Lacasera. He was told the shop doesn't sell the drink and as he made to leave, he took a phone, unfortunately for him someone saw him take a handset from the shop.
                                                       
He was accosted immediately and given a proper beating. He admitted stealing, pleaded for forgiveness and returned it. The shop owner eventually called the police...

Plane Crash Averted As Tyre Brust In Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos

An Aero flight NG127 flying from the domestic wing of Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos to Abuja with over 141 passengers on-board, yesterday, suffered a burst tyre just as the plane was lifting off after “attaining V2”. 

At this velocity, aborting the take-off may have led to immediate crash of the plane, but for the pilot who did the right thing by controlling the plane into the air and bringing it back for emergency landing.

Reacting to the incident, the spokesman of the airline, Mr. Sam Tumba, said: “Aero flight NG127 from Lagos to Abuja on this day made an air return as a result of a burst tyre, which occurred just as the airplane was lifting off. 

The pilot did the right thing by not trying to abort the take-off. He controlled the airplane into the air and following all trained procedures, he brought the plane back to a safe landing. At no time, during all of these, were the passengers’ lives at any risk.” The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA)said the authority is already investigating the incident.

According to twitter user @AkoHinDeY  ,Allen Gas at Ago Palace Way,Okota, Lagos is on fire and several are feared dead..He says the explosion occurred when the gas was being offloaded..At the moment, no fire service personnel on ground

Photo: Young girl goes missing in Ogba, Lagos

A 15 year old Paulina Ojeka Ogwuledwu, pictured above has been declared missing by her family. According to her Uncle, a pastor with Baptist Church in Ogba, who spoke with LIB, Paulina, an indigene of Benue state, was last seen on Wednesday January 14th. She lived with her Uncle in Ogba and is an apprentice with a fashion outlet in Ogba. On the day she went missing, Paulina had gone for her training and returned in the evening but later left the house and up until today has not returned.

“Humans Are Wicked” Actress Susan Peters Responds to All those Who tagged Her AMVCA Outfit Trashy & Classless

The much anticipated 2014 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards held on Saturday, at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos has come and gone but yet it is still talked about, because celebrities wore their cutiest fashion pieces they could reach. Just as many of them looked dazzling…their fans had things to say about what their favorite celebrity wore to the show and trust many stepped out in their best, while some others decided to try out something different.
Nollywood actress, Susan Peters was one of those that decided to make a fashion statement as she stepped out on the red carpet rocking a menswear look. She wore a floral print blazer and black pants with a white shirt, black bow tie, and blue heels t compliment the look.
However not many of Susan’s fans loved her look as they criticised her wear and this really hurt her, the actress took to Instagram to give a word or two to those criticizing her looks.
