Wales manager Gary Speed found dead aged 42




The Football Association of Wales has suddenly announced that Gary Speed, the manager of the national team, has passed away.

There has been no mention about the cause of death of the 42-year-old, but the Cheshire Police have made it known that there were no suspicious circumstances.

A statement from Football Association of Wales reads: "The FAW are sad to announce the death of national team manager Gary Speed. We extend our sympathies and condolences to the family"

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "At 7.08am this morning, Sunday, November 27, police were informed of an incident at Aldford Road, Huntington. Officers went to the scene where a 42-year-old man was found dead. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and next of kin have been informed."

EX-SUPER EAGLE STAR,KANU ACQUIRES 8 DUPLEXES IN LEKKI FOR N2 BILLION





That popular Nigerian soccer star,Nwankwo Kanu is one of the richest soccer stars to ever come out of this country is little news.



Recently,Kanu coughed out a staggering N2 billion in acquisition of 8 Duplexes at the choice Stillwater Estate in Lekki Phase I,Lagos.



The duplexes were said to have been Kanu’s major investment target for some time and it took quite a while for him to get the deal sorted out.
People very close to him say it cost him about N300 million each.



Apart from the Stillwater Estate houses,Kanu,we gathered,also has several choice properties scattered within the Lekki/Ajah axis.And these exclude those property given to him by the government when he captained Nigeria to Olympic glory in 1996 and won the FIFA U-17 Championship in Japan in 1993.

NIGERIAN FOOTBALLER DIES DURING CLUB MATCH IN BELGIUM


Nigerian football player Bobsam Elejiko has died during his club match in Belgium .

Fifth-tier Belgian club Merksem S.C. says Bobsam Elejiko collapsed during the Provincial 1 game against F.C. Kaart on Sunday and attempts to resuscitate the Nigerian-born Belgian were unsuccessful.

The cause of death was not immediately clear.Merksem says in a statement on its website that “we express our condolences to the Elejiko family during this difficult time.”



The 30-year-old Elejiko had previously played for Westerlo and Antwerp among other teams.


The match was abandoned after Elejiko’s death.
