Hip hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is set to blaze a trail in the music television entertainment by launching his own music-themed cable network.
We’re told the new cable network will be called ‘Revolt’, and will target largely the African-American community; and official launching is tentatively set for year end, around December of 2012.
The network will have an estimated viewing base of about 18 million homes.
Television content providers, Comcast, is apparently involved and is even set to launch their own African-American themed network around the same time as Diddy’s.
The richest figure in hip hop, according to recent rankings by Forbes magazine, Mr Combs is also a writer, actor, arranger, clothing designer, and Broadway actor, and oversees a business empire worth about $500 million.
