Photos: Troops kill one terrorist, capture three others in Gwashari village, Borno state

Troops of 254 Task Force Battalion, 25 Task Force Brigade in conjunction with vigilantes have conducted clearance operation of remnants of Boko Haram terrorists at Gwashari village along Damboa-Bale road.

During the patrol, the troops encountered some elements of the Boko Haram terrorists in which they killed one and captured 3 others.

                                                     
They also recovered 1 Dane gun, an magazine of AK-47 rifle, 2 knives, assorted drugs and the sum of N142,000 from the terrorists.

20 girls reportedly abducted by Boko Haram in Lassa, Borno State

20 girls have reportedly been abducted by Boko Haram members after an attack on Lassa community in Borno state.

According to a resident of the community, Daniel Ibrahim, who spoke with Sahara Reporters, the sect members abducted the girls on Wednesday Dec. 3rd after storming their community brandishing all manner of weapons including tanks and explosives, shooting sporadically, and burning houses

“They abducted more than 20 girls from our town and killed many people, mostly old men and women. They burnt almost half of the town before they left. Those of us who were lucky fled, but they massacred aged ones & younger men they could catch" he said.

A Military source said they were aware of the recent developments in Lassa.
