Famous Nigerian producer and musician Babatunde Okungbowa, aka OJB Jezreel, has narrated his ordeal following the recent auto accident, when he barely escaped death.
The musician had faced serious hardships this year. In the second half of 2013 he spent 3 months in India where he traveled to undergo kidney transplantation surgery. After the successful surgery he finally recovered and reunited with his family in Nigeria.
When the life got back to normal, the musician however experienced another stressful situation seriously jeopardizing his life, Nigeriafilms reports.
OJB was reportedly in a car with this friend when the accident occurred. He was quoted saying:
“I was coming from Abeokuta with a friend in his car. I think they didn’t tighten the bolt of the tyre very well. By the time we were around Mowe, the tyre gave way and the car tumbled and the glass scattered.”
While his friend was badly injured, the famous producer suffered less:
“My friend was seriously injured. I was also injured but not as badly. After the accident, I couldn’t walk very well. I was treated and a few weeks I had to walk around with a stick. I dropped the stick three days ago. I’m a lot better now.”
OJB thanked God for being merciful to him and guarding him throughout his life:
“The things that have been happening from the surgery to the accident, it is God. Some people would have died if they had gone through all that I have gone through but God has been gracious to me.”
It is good to know that OJB Jezreel keeps working hard despite some troubles and stresses. He is considered one of the most experienced producer, who has been in the Nigerian music sector for more than 20 years.
