State Funeral for Mrs. Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo will take place today

A State Funeral for Mrs. Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo is taking place in Okenne, Ogun State today.

Mrs H.I.D Awolowo died on September 19, 67 days to her centenary. The burial is taking place on her birthday.

This is a state funeral to recognise Mrs H.I.D Awolowo wife of the first Premier of the Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and was the Iyalode of Remoland as well as the Yeye Oodua of Ife, among others.

                                         

Funeral service is at Our Saviour’s Anglican Church, Okenne followed immediately by her interment.
