'This election shouldn't be a close battle but it'll be' - Barack Obama claims sexism is responsible for Trump's rapid poll rise
U.S President Barack Obama has weighed in on the U.S presidential
election claiming that the reason why Trump is doing well in the polls
is because of the sexist mentality among most Americans, saying if it
weren't for sexist beliefs, Trump will be no where near the Democratic
candidate..
"There's a reason why we haven't had a woman President," Obama said at a swanky Manhattan fund-raiser dinner for the Democratic nominee. "We as a society still grapple with what it means to see powerful women and it still troubles us in a lot of ways, unfairly."This should not be a close election but it will be, and the reason it will be is not because of Hillary's flaws," Obama said.
Obama also blasted Trump, calling his campaign "an infomercial."
"It's a reality show, It's an infomercial " he said. 'This guy is not qualified to be president."
Barack also said it would be a "personal insult" to his legacy if black
voters don't turn out on Election Day for Hillary Clinton.
