Katsina state governor has made it clear that he trusts in Buhari’s
saving power. He spoke on Buhari’s abilities after the Eid-el-Kabir
prayers on Tuesday, September 13 .
He also urged Nigerians to pray for president. Aminu Bello Masari, the governor of Katsina state on Tuesday, September 13 urged Nigerians to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari to save Nigeria from the many problems plaguing the country.
After attending the Eid-el-Kabir prayer in Katsina, with the President, Masari made the call in a statement by his media assistant, Abdu Labaran Malumfashi. In his statement, the governor said that there was no challenge that committed leadership and prayers could not overcome and solve. He also stated clearly that he had no single doubt in Buhari’s ability to solve Nigeria’s current problems.
Masari also said:- “President Muhammadu Buhari is not new on this job, nor is the challenge new to him. In 1983, when the country was tottering on the brink of collapse he came in and salvaged the situation. “That passion and burning desire to serve selflessly are still in him. These are evident in the manner he is handling the economy and the security challenges confronting the country.
“God has brought him again to do that which he successfully did all those years back when economic and security challenges had all but brought the country down on its knees, and I am confident that he will do it if we give him the support and cooperation he requires. He needs our prayers too.”
Meanwhile, when President Muhammadu Buhari arrived his native home, Daura in Katsina state, on Friday, September 9 to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, he was seen with Masari at the airport.
The president was also met by Alh. Saidu Bard, the former governor of Katsina state, Alh. Mannir Yakubu, the deputy governor of Katsina state, HRM Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, Emir of Katsina state and others at the Umaru Musa Yaradua International Airport, Katsina.
