FG to reopen corruption cases against Ibori, 30 other former governors

The Federal government is set to reopen the corruption cases against former Delta state governor, James Ibori and 30 other former governors. The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, last week sent a letter to the ICPC, instructing the commission to forward the case files of all former governors that are standing trial for corruption.

Five of the former governors to be investigated are from the South East, three from the South West and three from the South South. All the former governors to be investigated belong to either the APC and PDP and have done either a single term or double terms in office.
