Arms procurement scandal: Pres. Buhari orders probe of Ihejirika, Minimah, 52 others
As the probe into the arms procurement in the Nigerian military
continues, President Buhari has ordered the probe of two former Chiefs
of Army Staff, Lt Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika and Lt. Gen. Kenneth Minimah.
This was disclosed in a statement released by the President of the
Presidential Committee on the Audit of Defence Equipment Procurement in
the Armed Forces, AVM Jon Ode (Rtd) yesterday July 14th.
The army chiefs are among 54 new army personnel to be investigated. The panel is charged with the responsibility of investigating the Defence Equipment Procurement from 2007 to 2015.
