Angry Nigerians Blast Basketmouth For Defending President Buhari (Photos)

Popular Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, better known as Basketmouth, few days ago encouraged Nigerians to view the present situation of the country differently.

A post on his Facebook page had a photo-shopped picture of President Muhammadu Buhari in a Yankee cap (below) and an inscription that read “Keep calm, change is a gradual process”.

The 37-year-old comedian-cum-actor added a caption: “If you change the way you look at things, the things you looking at will change.”

The comment did not go down well with some Nigerians as they tackled him across various social media platforms.

Here are some of the comments.

“If Nigerians wanted Patience, Jonathan’s wife would still be in Aso Rock… Basket farabale o… It’s like dem dey settle you.”

“No light, No fuel, No Forex… Let dem kukuma not give us change again, take us back to how GEJ handed over Nigeria to you, when Pure water was still #5 and $1 was #200. Chikena,” a fan wrote on Facebook.

“Thank you Mr Preacher Basketmouth, y don’t u start ur own change by employing 200 youths so that we will know its a gradual process.”

“Last year u were shouting that GEJ should handover quickly to Buhari bcos of the fuel scarcity then, ur Buhari is in power now, there is fuel scarcity, u r saying change is a gradual process.”

“Basketmouth is just indirectly playing politics, seeking for favour from change regime.. Sai baba Sai basket mouth.”

“Basket if to say nu be respect when I get for you as boss I for tell you bad thing ooo…did Buhari and APC ever thought change was a gradual process before making empty promises to Nigerians and giving them hope as if they were going to do magic?
