APC National chairma bemoans loss of oil rich states to PDP
APC National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, has bemoaned his party's loss of important oil-rich states to the opposition party, PDP. Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Cross Rivers states, are all being governed by PDP-elected governors.
Oyegun expressed his sadness while reacting to the Supreme Courts ruling on the Rivers state governorship election.
According to Oyegun, the ruling which was in favor of PDP's Nyesom Wike, was shocking. He said this while speaking to some members of the party from Rivers state who paid him a visit at the party secretariat in Abuja yesterday February 3rd.

“I still find the judgment on the Rivers State governorship election totally astonishing. There is something fundamentally wrong in the Judiciary. We have lost very important resource-rich states to the PDP. No matter how crude oil prices have fallen, it is still the most important revenue earner for the country. There is obviously something fundamentally wrong in Rivers state which needs to be investigated and addressed.”he said
