Revealed: How Wike Borrowed N45bn For His Personal Use - Amaechi

The former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi has accused Governor Nyesom Wike of borrowing N45bn for his personal use.

He also accused Wike of engaging in phantom projects and borrowing billions of Naira with nothing to show for it.

Amaechi revealed this while giving a celebratory speech at his Thanksgiving service held in Rivers State after being screned as a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria.

The ex-governor who was also rejoicing at the recent court ruling nullifying Wike's election said that God has vindicated him. He accused Wike of borrowing huge sums of money for the purpose of embezzlement.

Amaechi said: “I borrowed N300bn and I paid N245bn back and I left about N15bn. But now, they are not borrowing to pay contractors. Rather they are borrowing for themselves. Borrow to pay contractors not for your purse.

They have borrowed N45bn and nobody is seeing it. If you put N45bn in the state economy, the state will be bouncing. They will employ more workers, pay them and you will see things working.

"Even if we win at the Supreme Court it is still not yet time for celebration. You can pay all the money you want to pay but if God says it is not your turn it is not your turn. It is God that gave the victory at the tribunal. This is not a new path for those of you who know me.

We did not know they had fixed Saturday for judgement, here we are to thank God.”
