After donating a startling 29 gallons of breast milk, Bormann said:

“It’s such an easy process and I would hope that if other moms had extra milk they would donate too. It’s totally worth it to keep at it a little longer. Every little bit goes a long way.”

For children breastfeeding offers a wide variety of health benefits, including increased intelligence, decreased likelihood of contracting middle ear infections, cold and flu resistance, lower risk of childhood onset diabetes, decreased risk of asthma and eczema, dental problems, obesity, developing psychological disorders and a tiny decrease in the risk of childhood leukemia.
