Group calls for disqualification of Ambode over having mental problem

This was contained in a statement signed by the president of Greater Lagos Alliance, Dr Lanre Adeoye, a U.S-based neurosurgeon. The state read in part thus:

“We met at a sanitarium where I consult and he was quite open about the fact that he has been managing his situation well. But I wasn’t convinced because the job of governing Lagos is not for somebody with such ailment. .

Lagos demands someone who is 105% mentally and physically fit. After several consultations, and after observing, at close range, Ambode’s carryings-on vis a vis his penchant for missing critical political appointments.

And other frightening habits which have pitted him against party chieftains, we are constrained to call on INEC to disqualify him because of his mental imbalance. We cannot take such risk in Lagos State.”
