Ex- Governor of Ogun State Otunba Daniel Begs Obasanjo; "Don’t Abandon Jonathan Now"

The former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has pleaded with Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo to complete the job he started with President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011. Daniel said, he Obasanjo made sure Jonathan was the vice-president of Nigeria in 2007, and made him president in 2011 and would be only fear for him to support him get back to office for a 2nd term.  Daniel emphasized that a job half done is like a job not done at all.

Daniel’s statement came barely 24hours after the former president openly declared his support for the re-election of Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, who is a member of the opposition All Progressives Congress.

“Obasanjo should finish the job he started in 2011 because a job that is half-done is not done at all. It is the height of injustice for Jonathan and the South-South people not to be allowed to do a second-term. We, the Yoruba people are saying that for the reason of equity, Jonathan should be allowed for a second term and after that, power can shift to the North,” Daniel stated on Saturday while addressing members of the Peoples Democratic Party at the inauguration of the Goodluck/Sambo Independent Support Team in Lagos.

It will also be recalled that Doyin Okupe also said in an interview that he agrees with Obasanjo’s slogan which says, vote for performance and not the party, stating that General Buhari should tell Nigerians what he did while in power and President Goodluck Jonathan should do the same, and let’s see who Nigerians will vote for, stressing that Buhari added no value to the nation while in power.
