Colombian Paulina Vega Win Miss Universe 2015 (Photo)
"I believe that my country has been an example to be followed for the rest of the countries," Vega told the crowd during the vital Q&A session, adding:
"We are persevering people…and we continue fighting. Today, we are world leaders in many different parts."
Vega also earned points from the judges when she was asked about what females could learn from males.
"I believe there are still men that do believe in equality," she said via a translator. "I believe that's what women should learn from men."
Miss Universe opened with 88 women, with the field quickly whittled to 15 beauties.
From there, five more were cut, leaving 10 to strut their fabulous finalist stuff in an evening gown.
Oh, and Nick Jonas took center stage to perform a medley of his hits, including "Chains," going right up to serenade Olivia Culpo at one point. Fun times!
