Why Ghanian Authorities Stop Aki & Pawpaw, Others from Shooting a Movie

Popular Nigerian actors Aki & Pawpaw, Kwadjo ‘Liwin’ Nkansah and other actors have been suddenly stopped from shooting a movie in Kumasi, Ghana.

The directive which came from the Film Producers’ Association of Ghana (FIPAG) was due to the fact that the director of the movie had breached some of the association’s regulations.
The public relations officer (PRO) for the Association, Mr. Michael Ola, disclosed this in an exclusive interview with NYDJlive.

The PRO explained that the FIPAG had no qualms with the Nigerian duo but believed the right procedure had to be followed, especially when the new executives of the Association had laid out new strategies to make the industry a better one.

Therefore, the duo has been asked to officially obtain documents from the Film Industry in Nigeria, working permit, as well as make payments for the continuation of the shoot.
It has been learnt that Peace and Love Productions, the production house which is in charge of the movie, had already commenced with procedure to make things easy for the continuation of the movie.
It would be recalled that Aki and Pawpaw got their fame in the mid 2000′s, when Nigerian movies became the toast of many across Ghana, and also for their intelligence in outwitting others in their movies.
