Uganda Bans Woman From Wearing Mini Skirts


Information reaching us from Kampala has it that the Uganda government is planning to pass a new law, (anti-pornography law ), Prohibiting women from going out in the public wearing miniskirts and any who does so will face imprisonment or heavy fine.

 According to the country’s Anti-Pornography Bill 2011, anyone who was found guilty of abetting pornography will be fined up to 10 million Ugandan shillings or jailed for up to 10 years (or both) The legislation would also see television dramas and films banned if it is passed by parliament.

 The Bill would also ensure that singers such as Madonna and BeyoncĂ© are taken off television screen in Uganda because of their immodest dress, says Mr Lokodo
