Making her feelings clear: Katy Perry posted a picture of her patriotic President Obama nails as she performed at a concert in his honour on Sunday

Forget wearing her heart on her sleeve, Katy Perry wore hers on her nails as she took to the stage in Los Angeles.

The singer turned her fingers into a tribute to President Barack Obama as she performed at a fundraising concert on Sunday night.

And with his face emblazoned on four of her digits, along with the Democrat donkey symbol and red, white and blue stars and stripes, her political feelings couldn't have been clearer.

On the stage Katy then wrapped herself in the American flag, before tweeting to her followers: 'I sang for President Barack Obama last night because I believe in Equal Rights For All.'

And she added she was 'honoured' to perform. Joining Katy on the stage were a host of other stars, including Jennifer Hudson. The Oscar winner showed off her slimline figure in a blue dress.
