Lil Wayne To Release Book On Prison Experience
Our favourite raspy voiced rapper, Lil Wayne, is set to release a book, based on his experiences in prison. Wayne is no stranger to the slammer, having recently spent eight months behind bars. Wayne was previously picked up by Arizona police, when his tour bus was stopped and authorities found a vast array of illegal items on-board. A K-9 Unit recovered 105 grams (3.7 oz) of marijuana, almost 29 grams (1.0 oz) of cocaine, 41 grams (1.4 oz) of MDMA, and $22,000 in cash.
Wayne then backed this up, with border patrol officers locating illegal substances on-board his tour bus almost two years later. The book, titled Gone Til November, is based on the diary entries Wayne made during his time locked up on New York’s Rikers Island, the largest penal colony in the world.
After cancelling his solo shows while out here with Eminem, Wayne is set to return to Australian shores this year to tour nationally. Aged 29, he said he would retire at 35 to take care of his children, something he has obviously neglected while being locked up. The book is set for release on November 28. We can’t wait.
